When I first visited Wasaga Beach in May 2006, I felt there was charm about the beach one area and a certain innocence. Not the word many would use but the appeal to me was the lack of all the big name fast food joints etc and the mish mash of individual businesses added a uniqueness. We moved to the Beach from England in November 2007 on the night of the first winter snow but that's another story. Now as a resident I believe that the area had to be improved and the fire made sure something was going to happen. However please don't let just another banal , homogeneous resort area be developed.
