Lick It: Wasaga Beach Ice Cream Guide

The quintessential midday, after dinner, sunset traditions here in Wasaga Beach - ice cream.   Soft, hard, drizzled, dipped, whipped over and smothered in ooey-gooey goodness. However you ‘lick it’, it’s here for you!  Drool over our weekend’s worth of screaming suggestions for Beachers.

FRIDAY
Celebrate the end of a long week with ‘Bordeaux Cherry’, a rich and full flavored cherry ice cream loaded with big pieces of sweet black Bordeaux cherries. Grandma’s Beach Treats enjoys serving up Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream (they have soft too.) 1014 Mosley Street near Beach 3.

SATURDAY
A famous tourist destination and the original landmark ice cream parlour, Lorna Dune has been swirling soft ice cream since 1955.  One lick and you’ll remember your childhood summers. Choose the large dipped cones!  3373 Mosley Street, west end of town near Beach 6.

SUNDAY
A seriously Sunday treat has got to be a sweet storm. Love it to bits!  The McFlurry at McDonalds will put you in a happy place to begin a new week. Decadent deliciousness starts with creamy vanilla soft serve. Choose from Oreo to Rolo and enjoy the yummy taste. 1269 Mosley Street at the bridge beside the river and near Beach 4 and 5.

Breakfast At The Beach

The Wasaga Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the newest event for our members – Breakfast at the Beach. Breakfast at the Beach will take place on the second Thursday of each month.

The very first event will be on Thursday April 9th at Beverly's on Main (140 Main St.) from 7:00-8:30am.

The breakfast will be $15 for Chamber members and $18 for non-members.

There will be opportunity to network and get to know other business owners in the Beach and surrounding areas and there will be a guest speaker at each breakfast to speak on topics of interest to the membership.

The guest speaker for April 9th will be Ellen Riches of the Indigo Group, the title of her talk is 'Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway!' According to the Book of Lists, speaking in public is the number 1 fear for men and the number 2 fear for women. A woman’s number 1 fear is 'death by fire.' So, what this suggests is that most men would rather be dead than speak in public.
